This is a conjectural drawing of what the Liberty Hall Academy building may have looked like before it burned in 1803. The structure was built in 1793 with the cupola added at a later date. Classrooms, a library, and the laboratory were located on the first floor and students were housed on the second and third floors.

Drawing by Larry Drechsler, reprinted from The Architecture of Historic Lexington, 1977, with permission from the Historic Lexington Foundation.
